Finally Spring

FINALLY it is spring break!! This semester is flying by but I could not be happier that we finally have a break from school. My spring break started Thursday night after classes so to celebrate the break we went to Disney on Ice. I bought tickets to the show months ago with an early bird access code from a friend. I knew i had great seats but it wasn't until we actually got inside Intrust Bank Area that I realized we had second row seats. Brooklyn was so excited to see the princesses, heroes and more importantly FROZEN! The show was amazing. Here are some fun pictures from the show.

We ran into a lot of Brooklyn's friends from school.

Today we celebrated St. Patrick's Day with the rest of Wichita by decorating cookies at Cheri's Bakery and going downtown to the Parade. Cheri's Bakery has the best cookies and around holidays they have a free kids cookie decorating Saturday. Brooklyn made a shamrock cookie.

I couldn't resist buying an extra cookie because it was so cute.

After we decorated cookies we went to the St. Patrick's Day parade. This was our first year to attend the parade and we had a blast. Brooklyn loved all of the old fashion cars and bicycles. She was so excited to get green beads and candy from the people in the parade. We are excited to see what else our spring break week has in store and bug is excited to have a little more mommy time without school getting in the way.

A little Nursing school update:
Every semester we have a medication calculation exam that we have to pass with a 100% and I passed mine with a 100% on the first of three tries. I was super excited to have that weight off my shoulders. We also gave shots to our partners for the first time. Giving shots was so much fun and yet so scary at the same time. I absolutely love my classes and my classmates and I cannot wait to grow with them over the next three semesters.  Classes are overwhelming but so much fun.
